The Lake!!

Syd paid her first visit to Buggs Island Lake in VA. She has been boating several times but this was her first time on Mom's hometown lake where she went every weekend as a child. Syd loved swimming in the water and jumping off the boat... and driving of course..

Little Swimmer

Syd absolutely loves swimming. She goes off the diving board, swims underwater, and uses her water wings to swim on her own, all before the age of 2! We are hoping by next summer she will be swimming completely on her own without any assistance. We're shooting for a swimming scholarship to UVA!! We'll keep our fingers crossed!!

The Cicconi's had a beautiful oceanfront pool equipped with waterfalls! Not to mention all the Dads got to jam to the sound system and have a few beers while the kids swam!

Fourth of July

We spent July 4th weekend with our great friends the Mitchell's, William's, and Rice's in Duck, NC. The kids had a great time together this year!

Training Montage...

Syd wanted to make sure she stayed in peak form while on vacation, so she ventured out on a training run...

Summer Fun Begins!!

First stop on our summer tour was Nags Head! Although Syd was slightly wary of the ocean the first day (unlike last year when she crawled right into the waves), by day 3 she was back at it, jumping waves, eating sand, chasing birds, and showing absolutely no fear of anything.
