Memorial Day Visit!

Our buddies from TX came for the holiday weekend. Syd and Jude had a great time touring the Duke Gardens, swimming at the pool, and eating good southern food. Declan and Hattie enjoyed lots of long walks in the double stroller together.

Fridays on the Front Porch Has Begun!

One of our fave NC activities kicked off in late April. Bluegrass and BBQ at the Carolina Inn every Friday night!

Balloon Fun

With all our recent birthdays and fun events, we have had no shortage of balloons. Declan LOVES playing with them and they have become a staple in our house!

First Bulls Game

We took both kids to their first Durham Bulls game! We spent the majority of our time walking around the stadium chasing Declan but Sydney did get to sing "Take me out to the ballgame"

First 5K

We ran our first 5K as a family of four in late April. We brought the double stroller thinking we would push both kids; however, Sydney informed us 30 seconds into the walk that she wanted to run. We weren't sure what to expect but amazingly, she ran 90% of the WaDuke trail by herself in her princess light-up shoes. Kind of amazing! Chris did give her a few piggy back rides and we did push her in the stroller up the GIANT hill (WaDuke runners know what we are talking about), but that was only b/c we made her!

Luckily Declan got a nice new blue wagon for his birthday to ride in, but sometimes he still likes getting pushed by his big sister in the pink car.

Bubbles and Balls!

Another new favorite activity...blowing bubbles on the back porch and bouncing balls. With the advent of spring, we have started spending most of our days on the porch and Declan loves it!
