Does it ever stop snowing here???

Apparently not being that this is the 4th major storm we've had in a few weeks. Guess someone wanted to make sure Sydney (and Mommy who has never seen so much snow in her life) saw as much snow as possible before moving back south. I think this is enough to last enough a lifetime.

On a positive note, all this snow means Daddy doesn't leave for work at the crack of dawn and comes home before 3 a.m. So Sydney has gotten to help Dad shovel in the mornings before he heads out (you can see from the video below how helpful she is) and he even stayed home one afternoon. Although he worked the whole time, he did take lots of short breaks to play, which made Sydney absolutely ecstatic. She has not seen much of Dad lately and has really been missing him!

Teacher

Sydney has really gotten into pretend play and loves to play "teacher" and read to all her students. Her class does a lot of circle time and group reading so she likes to pretend to be Miss Ginny (her teacher).

Lots of Syllables

Syd's class at school has been working on their first and last names. We are very impressed that she got Komelasky this early on considering we still have trouble pronouncing it at times....

New developments....

So a lot of new developments.. since the first of the year Sydney is fully potty-trained (only took about a day or two) and her pacifiers went away with the passie fairy to passie heaven... Next onto a big girl bed one of these days...

At one point she says "Dad needs privacy" which is what she asks for whenever she goes potty. She later says "Dad is sick" and puts him in bed (which sadly was how we all spent much of the vacation, sick and in bed. Lastly you hear her yell at her doll to "take that out of your hand, the passie fairy is taking your passies away!" Funny how life spills over into make-believe...

Disney Friends

We spent a large amount of time this Disney trip visiting lots of friends, which was fine considering we rode all the rides last time we were here. Sydney knows every character and likes to list each of the ones she visited.

Christmas Night Fireworks

Christmas night was one of our late nights. You can see how tired Sydney is. It is SO out of character for her to not be running around in circles. She had a great snuggle spot with Daddy to watch the castle show.
