Syd was able to stay awake for the Wishes Fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. She loved all the lights and noise!

Spectromagic!!

We took Sydney to the light parade at Magic Kingdom (one of Mommy's all-time favorites). Syd loved seeing all the lights. She especially liked seeing the princess floats (paa paas as she calls them), as well as Mickey Mouse (MiMi).

Sydney made her first trip of many to Disney World last weekend. She LOVED it, almost as much as Mom. First stop... Magic Kingdom!!!

1st Day of School

Here is Syd getting ready on her 1st day of school (Goddard School). The backpack was a hit as she kept asking for it and asking about the other 'babies' she was getting ready to see.

Greenwich Beach

We went up to Stamford/Greenwich CT to visit the Stakels and Taggards. It was a little chilly but it was good to get a nice walk in on the beach in Greenwich.




Syd loved all the dogs that were running up and down the beach...and got to chase Jack all around.

Cheerleader

Sydney was a great cheerleader this season for the Eagles, even though their season ended on a sour note. Like her daddy, she got sucked back into the Eagles frenzy this year (again), and was (again) left hoping for more. Next year's gotta be our turn, right?

New Sleeping Bag!

Sydney loves her new sleeping bag Mommy got her for Christmas. She lies down on "Bubba" (her word for dog) and says "Night Night". So cute!!

Santa Dance (vid)

Syd's dancing skills improved drastically over the holidays. Here she is working it with her favorite Santa impersonator. She is able to maintain her focus on her moves despite all the random Grubbs family conversation in the background..

Hanging in my chair!!

Syd loves using the footrest to climb up into her glider in her room. She often sits there and reads books, but sometimes she just lies back and relaxes....

Post-bathtime has gotten to be quite a show as Syd loves to run around the house wearing only her Frogger towel. I think we'll need to keep her away from Mr. Jefferson's Lawn.

Syd continues to love to read and now that she's jabbering away, her stories have gotten very interesting... although we have no idea what she's saying, we are still entertained.

Tinker Bell chair

There is nothing like curling up on your favorite chair with a good book on a cold winter day. Here Syd sits by the fire in her Tinker-Bell chair.

Barbie Jeep!! (vid)

Thanks to Uncle Matt and Mark who bought Syd her awesome new Barbie Jeep. She just learned how to use the pedals and has been zipping around the house.

Sydney loves playing with Mom and Dad's shoes. She carries them all around the house, throwing them down the stairs and has even started wearing them :)

Syd spent New Years Eve doing her favorite things. Wearing her princess sparkle party shoes, eating "choos-choos" (Cheerios) out of the box, and sitting in her Tinker Bell chair watching "Melmo."
