1st Bike Ride (Pic/VID)

Here we go on our morning bike ride (Syd's 1st ever) in Hilton Head. She was loving it!

When I started going too slow, she would kick my butt to get us going faster....

All that fresh air took it's toll on our little lady, as she decided to call it quits and move on to nap time.

Another Trip to Duke Gardens

We made another trip to the Duke Gardens to enjoy the great weather. With the Wisteria and other flowers out in full bloom, it was a great day.

Pool Party!

Enough of this swimming in the bath thing. I'm ready to move on to the big blue pool. Here is my first swim, though the water is not quite as warm as the bath.

After last week's Syd Style Crawling...she took it up a notch and it just seemed to click. We are in big, big trouble now.

First Birthday Party

Syd was excited to get invited to Jack Taggard's 4th birthday party. The pirate themed adventure (including an amazing pirate chest cake) was great.



Of course, Syd goes right for the ice-cream....apple doesn't fall too far from the tree ...eh mom?

Crawling Sydney Style (VIDs)

Syd has almost got crawling down; however, she has invented her own little system of getting around. Watch as she crawls a few steps, face plants, does some swimming moves, and then gets back up again. She sort of resembles an inchworm. She also seems to get distracted by interesting objects (mainly dirt) on the carpet.

Water Guzzler

Syddie loves drinking out of a "big-girl" cup these days. She also loves for us to watch her and cheer her on!

First Race

Syd ran (well rode in the stroller) in her first 5K this weekend. Chris and I took turns pushing her up the very steep hills!






Syd also got to meet her first celebrity! Bachelor Andy Baldwin was at the race representing the Duke Navy ROTC and honoring his friend in whose memory the race is run.

Sunrise Mass at Duke Gardens

It was only 46 degrees at 6:30 this morning...but we braved the weather in Duke Gardens for the Sunrise Mass. Syd loved all the flowers in her Easter dress and bonnet!
